The safety of your personal data is important to us. We would therefore like to inform you about data protection-relevant circumstances and regulations.

You can use our sites without disclosing your identity. Only if you make an individual request do we require minimal personal data such as name and e-mail address so that we can contact you. Only when you request a booking do we need further data such as your address and later also a telephone number in order to be able to carry out the check-in smoothly.

After the contract has been completed and the tax and commercial law regulations have expired, your data will be archived unless you have refused archiving. You have the right to disclosure, correction and deletion of your data from this archive file. Simply write an email to host@mar-e-luz.com.

By law, we keep the reporting forms with your ID or passport details that we have collected for registration with the national security authorities on paper (not in digital form) for three years.

These data protection regulations apply exclusively to our holiday villa. They do not apply to the websites of other service providers to which we simply refer via a link, or to search engines (such as Google) through which you reached our website. Please note that data protection regulations and data protection practices at third-party companies or search engines can change continuously. It is therefore recommended to keep yourself informed about changes in legal regulations and company practices if you want to ensure the protection of your personal data.

We would like to point out that when data is transmitted over the Internet, it can always happen that third parties may take note of your data and/or falsify it.

Data Protection Act

The processing of personal data in Portugal is subject to the European GDPR and is specified by the Implementation Law No. 58/2019 of August 8, 2019. You have the right to disclosure, correction and deletion of your information from our file. Simply write an email to host@mar-e-luz.com.

The data is stored exclusively on our firewall-protected computers and external storage media as backup and in no case on external servers.

Property surveillance
​
The property can be monitored by 4 cameras, of which we only leave the one outside the entrance in operation for your privacy and security. The data from the cameras is transmitted via a secure and encrypted cloud service, while the location of the servers is not known to us. If you have different requests, please let us know at any time.
